IODA Events now included in SSL rankings
Leading Optimist dinghy events will now be included on the SSL (Star Sailors League) Ranking List.
Young Kiwi sailors participating at IODA Regattas will be able to gauge how they are progressing against sailors from the rest of the world and also check their global rankings.
Points will move with them as they progress throughout their career in the sport, whatever the class or discipline. The SSL Ranking List is published weekly and includes more than 100,000 sailors from approximately 15,000 regattas worldwide.
The SSL Rankings also help showcase the huge range of opportunities, events and disciplines available as our young sailors move out of the Optimist class – the SSL website features sailor pathway profiles with real-world examples of what is available in the wider sport of sailing.
