We wish to inform our members that the committee has decided to no longer present caps for the top 20 ranked sailors each season. This decision indicates a cultural shift for our class as we endeavour to spread our limited resources over our whole membership, rather than focusing on the top 20 sailors in our class.
Our mission as a committee is to encourage sailors at the beginning of their journey to take up a fun and rewarding sport where they can make friends and build independence and confidence. While being part of a team and winning races and events is an important part of sailing for many, we believe that encouraging our young sailors to get involved throughout all fleets and levels is equally important and helps to build our fleet sizes and create sailors for life.
