North Island Clinic – Day 2 Summary

Day 2 started bright and early with 7am morning fitness for sailors, coaches, and two brave parent helpers. A fixed agenda point at Eastern Beaches camps, the stair run challenge was the first test of the day of the group’s fitness, endurance and resilience. The second was the long sail out to Motuihe island and back in growing South-Westerly breeze. The coaches fitted in a race to the destination beach and rewarded all sailors with ice blocks on the island.

A couple of snapped Green fleet tow lines combined with choppy waters and passing ferries kept coaches and parent helpers on their toes on the return journey. Some towing RHIBs didn’t beat the hardy open and white fleet sailors back by much, all arriving after 4pm. A great adventure to add to the treasure chest of memories!

thanks Anke for another great update.
