Our team have now completed two days of qualifiers in 20 knots and today team racing close inshore in balmy light winds. As usual great event pictures can be found on Facebook taken by Matias Capizanno
The qualifiers, raced well out in the bay, finished with mixed fortunes for our team though some great achievements. Tian and Louie made the gold fleet. Both sailed strongly against some high class opposition. Jasper just missed gold and Valentine who opened badly rallied in the second day only to cop a disqualification for taking penalty turns too late after being pushed into the pin boat on a start.
Nevertheless ashore the festivities continue each day around the yacht club and pool. Today Teams racing could be viewed from the Yacht Club veranda with a cool drink in hand.
Tomorrow the last two days of fleet racing reduce to two races a day. More to come…
