All sailors who compete in the Open fleet at the “Toyota Optimist National Championship” held at New Plymouth Yacht Club from Friday 3rd to Tuesday 7th April 2026 will be given a ranking. Please Note – This is the only Ranking Regatta scheduled for the 2025 / 26 season.
In 2026 the IODA Travelling teams to World, European and Asian and Oceanian championships, as well as the three development teams, will be selected from a sailor’s final ranking for the season.
Please note that the teams for the Japanese Friendship regatta, Qingdao and Polynesian regattas are all decided after considering Expressions of Interest to NZIODA.
