Great to see such a good turnout at SIAG – the South Island Age Group Regatta held at the Charteris Bay Yacht Club over the weekend. Stunning sailing weather and a long weekend brought everyone to the party with sailors travelling from as far south as Wanaka as well as the northern regions of Nelson, Queen Charlotte and the greater Canterbury area to be part of this awesome event. It has been a while since we have seen this many junior sailors at an event in Canterbury – and we like it!! Well done CBYC for a well run and fun event.
Now that everyone is warmed up – mark your diaries and start planning for the next event in the Oborn’s Nautical South Island Traveller series – The Optimist South Island Championship being held in conjunction with the Nelson / Marlborough regionals on the 5th and 6th December at the Nelson Yacht club.
