Day 1 Regatta Report from Noumea

The NZ team started off with a strong performance today. 5 fantastic races were completed in breeze upwards of 15 knots. The lunch break in the middle is definitely a welcome treat here.

This place really is heaven for learning to sail in bigger breeze, as temperature is not a factor.

A massive shout out to Lucy for showing the Canterbury grit (and probably many Lyttelton seabreeze days) and winning the final race of the day, all while completing a penalty turn at the bottom mark to try to slow us kiwis down!

Looking forward to day 2, with much the same forecast.
