Following membership feedback from our recent survey the NZIODA committee has decided to make a change to the Development team selection for 2022.
There will now be TWO boys development teams selected. One will be for 12 year olds and younger, and the other will be an open age team. All other criteria remain the same. Namely, each development team will be made up of six sailors, be decided by Nationals rankings ONLY, and only sailors who have not travelled overseas to represent New Zealand sailing optimists will be eligible
The Girls Development Team remains unchanged.
I am sure you are all aware that we are not able to guarantee travel will take place in 2022 given the current global pandemic. Rest assured that we are constantly monitoring the situation and will communicate our decisions as they come to hand.
