It’s here! The NZIODA South Island Opti Clinic 19-21 December 2021!

QCYC

We’re delighted to bring you some great news amid the current uncertainty.

The dates are all set for the South Island Opti Clinic, which takes place between 19-21 December 2021 at one of our favourite locations on the Opti calendar – the beautiful Queen Charlotte Yacht Club in Picton.

Treat yourselves to an early Christmas present with the perfect way to dive into summer with the whole family!

Sailing will take place in the Sounds, offering a plethora of bays for a destination sail, as well as the stretch of water that many sailors will come back to compete on at the Interislander Regatta – NZIODA’s only ranking regatta apart from the nationals this season.

Sailors live-in at the camp for the duration of three days, with a few plucky parents pitching in to perform some of the camp duties.

Places will fill up fast so get ready to hit register by noting these all-important dates:

Monday 13 September Registrations
Open to South Island Sailors with 30 places

Monday 11 October
Open to Wellington regional sailors

Monday 18 October
Open to all sailors nationally

Friday 19 November
Registrations Close

This camp is suitable for Green, White and Open fleet sailors and the focus is on having fun, making friends, working on race strategy and gaining independence through personal development.

The cost is $350 and includes a non-refundable deposit of $50.00.

Sound good? Look out for our ‘Registrations Open’ email! Coming soon.

Best wishes from the NZ International Optimist Dinghy Association,
