We know that for some of our sailors the Toyota Optimist National Championship is their last regatta in Optimist. We hope that you and your sailor have enjoyed their time in Opti, seen many amazing places in New Zealand, had fun and made great friends.
For parents and sailors there is a great “life after opti” and our web page on this provides information on possible routes your sailor can go. You may also find pathway information and support through YNZ.
As sailing is a sport for life we know we might see you around at various regattas in the future. We look forward to watching you progress with your fellow sailors in the various classes.
