As you will be aware, at 11.59 pm last night New Zealand moved to a new COVID-19 Alert Level – with the greater Auckland area moving to Level 3 and the remainder of the country to Level 2.
The NZIODA Committee met this morning with QCYC to discuss the upcoming Interislander Regatta to be held in Picton from 19 Feburary to 21 February 2021 in light of the NZ Governments announcement last night.
The decision has been taken to cancel the Interislander Regatta for 2021. The NZIODA Committee understand that this is an unsettling time for our sailors and their families.
NZIODA will keep all members informed on how the cancellation of this regatta will affect NZIODA ranking for the 2020 2021 season in due course.
We ask that all sailing families use the tracer Covid app and to follow Government advice.
