IODA Webinar on “Promoting Girls in Sailing” took place recently. Elena Papazoglou, a member of the IODA Regatta Committee, who is a top World Sailing International Race Officer (IRO) and Chair of the World Sailing Women’s Forum, Optimist mum and coach, talked about how to get girls sailing in the Optimist, and what it takes to keep them sailing and involved in the sport for life.
The webinar was presented live to the African, Asian and Oceania time zones. A keen group of girl sailors from India joined in to hear what Elena was saying. The Webinar is available on demand and the link can be found here.
