NZIODA’s 49th AGM Welcomes New Committee Members

The 49th AGM for NZIODA was held on Friday 6 November at the Worser Bay Boating Club in conjunction with the 2020 Toyota Optimist Nationals.

It was a good turn out and there was some lively and constructive discussion around the future of the class. We are pleased to announce that the association now has a new President as well as several new committee members.

These are:

John Bullot who has agreed to step up into the President Role in the short term; Andrew Brown from Wakatere Boating Club as Secretary; Noeline Soper from Charteris Bay and Murrays Bay taking over Sailor Pathways; Steve Potbury from Napier Sailing Club and Mel Ewart from Queen Charlotte Yacht Club as general committee members.

We welcome their input into the committee and look forward to working with a group of members with such a broad range of sailing experiences and from a wide variety of regions throughout the country.

Thank you very much to our out-going committee members for all their hard work and support during their time on the committee.  David Kayrouz as President, Bryce Day as Secretary, Dan Leech in Sailors Pathways, Emmanuel Malpot for selection and Gavin Brady as skills co-ordinator.
